When God promises something, even though it may seem impossible in human terms, it will happen. Abraham and Sarah at the ages of 100 and 90 years respectively gave birth to a son, Isaac, as God had promised. And this was in spite of Sarah taking matters into her own hands by encouraging Abraham to sleep with her servant to produce an heir. How wonderful our God is!

God knows what we need and we must simply trust him to fulfil his promises and fulfil our needs. Jesus taught us how to pray for the necessities of life, he gave us examples of how to fast and how we should forgive one another. It should be simple enough to follow these examples but we constantly fail. If we obey God and trust in Him, He will provide for us on earth and we will store great riches in heaven. God warns against storing riches on earth for we cannot serve two masters, God and money.

We should praise God and pray regularly for the needs of others and trust in God to provide for our own needs be they health, shelter or food.
