I have been a member of the Healing on the Streets (HOTS) team in Hereford since it was established in January 2011. We go out every Saturday from 12 noon to 2pm in High Town Hereford and invite people to come forward to be healed in the name of Jesus.
The Bath HOTS team helped with our training and they are now being attacked by the Advertising Standards Agency following a complaint as a result of which they have been asked to recant their Christian faith in the Bible and to go as far as signing a letter which includes the following line: …”We will not make claims which state or imply that, by receiving prayer from our volunteers, people could be healed of medical conditions.”‘
Once again Christians are under attack in the UK and like the martyrs of old are being asked to recant their faith. What are these people worried about? That it might actually be true, there is a God and he can heal us in the name of Jesus Christ!
Please pray for all those up and down the country who are involved in this initiative which has brought a great deal of healing and united many different churches by sharing the Good News. In Hereford in 12 months (104 hours of ministry on the streets), over 5,000 leaflets have been distributed, over 230 stories have been recorded and many people have felt the love of Jesus for the first time in their lives.
